October is LET’S TALK MONTH

Let’s Talk Month is a national initiative aimed at helping parents talk to their kids about healthy sexuality. Sensovi Institute (which sponsors this blog) participates in Let’s Talk Month by speaking to professionals and parents about the right and the responsibility they have to discuss sexuality with young people.

Tuesday, October 7, 2008 (6:30-8:30pm)

Becky Knight MPH will provide a 2 hour presentation for parents called, “Beyond the Birds and Bees: How to Raise Sexually Healthy Children.” The focus will be on children 0-12 years of age. The presentation will include discussion of normal sexual development, addressing common concerns, and how parents can use the “Five Piece Suit” to instill values and boundaries regarding sexuality.

• Cost: $20/person or $30/couple.
• Location: Sensovi Institute, 2125 Southend Drive, Suite 351 in Charlotte NC (MAP)

Becky Knight MPH will be speaking at Charlotte Sexual Health on the topic “What Kids Are (and Aren’t) Learning About Sex.” Charlotte Sexual Health is a monthly gathering of sexual health professionals, although anyone can attend. For more information or to register.
